The living space in this Edwardian property was very dated and didn’t flow particularly well. I’m not always a fan of opening things up as I think it’s good to have separate defined spaces where different activities can be enjoyed without intruding on others but in this case it worked better to open things up, maximise space and let light in.

Bury Green
The owners of this Grade II listed cottage in Bury Green are renovating each room with great care. The brief was to come up with a more contemporary look without compromising any of the cottage’s character features. The design choices for this home have to take account of the needs of a busy family with two young children so I researched quality products and furniture that would withstand some rough and tumble and would grow with the family.
